I found this product to be very easy to use. I liked the anonymity of the registration process -- the only information I had to give the company was the PIN number on the test kit. The instructions were very thorough and walked you through every step of the process. There was also a very informative booklet about hepatitis included. Although I needed only one, I was glad that the kit included two sterile lancets for pricking my finger. I was afraid I wasn't going to be able to do it right, and knowing that I had another chance was good. I think that the whole process of registering, testing, and calling the registration center to get results was very easy. The only thing I didn't like was that if you lose the small card that your PIN number is written on, there's no other way to retrieve your results.

I was very excited about trying this ""at home"" test, because I'm a laboratory tech and perform testing all day long. It didn't disappoint me. Everything I needed to collect a blood sample from my finger was included. The instructions were illustrated and very simply written. There were also phone numbers to call if you had trouble collecting the sample or questions related to Hepatitis C. The cost may seem a little steep, but our lab offers this test for $75 and that doesn't include the doctor, office fee, or the time missed from work. This is a great test to screen for Hep C, especially if you have had blood transfusions or multiple sex partners. I'll receive my results via phone in 10 days with a ""passcode number"" included with the kit. If there are problems, the company can refer me to a physician in my area.

Home access health kits are a marvelous innovation in healthcare. This kit is very easy to use. It comes with a self-addressed, postage-paid envelope for submitting your sample, and a toll-free number for accessing your results. The test is completely anonymous. Hepatitis C is a serious disease and I think it's wonderful that something like this is available, reasonably priced, easily accessible, and simple to use. I'd recommend this kit and any other kits this company makes to anyone wanting a home health testing method.

I'd highly recommend this product for its ease of use/reliability. I worked in a medical lab for over 20 years, but even if I hadn't this test was simple to perform. Excellent instructions, with a very informative booklet. The test consists of one test square, the equipment to perform a simple fingerstick (didn't hurt), and even a Band-Aid. You have to send it out to a lab through the mail. But it takes 10 days to find out your results. Anyone who's ever had multiple sex partners or worked around patients with blood products should get one of these tests. The only drawback for me is the price. If you have medical insurance, I'd definitely go through your physician. If not, this would be the way to go.
